Current research interests of the faculty include the study and development of tests for checking misspecification in hypothesized models, the mathematical underpinning of problems in information theory, nonparametric curve estimation based on kernels and wavelets, quantifying and developing tests for symmetry in density and regression functions, mathematical statistics related to survival/reliability analysis, nonparametric life testing, longitudinal data analysis, risk prediction, and model diagnosis.
