Dr. Xinyuan Chen has received a five-year NIH award entitled "Advancing the design, analysis, and interpretation of acute respiratory distress syndrome trials using modern statistical tools" in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania. This award aims to develop new robust statistical methods for estimating causal effects in critical care practices. The upcoming research projects will emphasize bayesian machine learning methods and their application in cross-sectional and longitudinal causal studies.
