Minor in Mathematics

The minor in mathematics consists of MA 1713, MA 1723, MA 2733, MA 2743, MA 3113, MA 3253, one additional mathematics course at the 3000+ level, and another additional mathematics course at the 4000+ level. The student must achieve at least a C grade in each of the courses in the minor program.

MA 1713 Calculus I [3 credits]

Prerequisite: ACT Math score of 26 or grade of C or better in MA 1323 or MA 1453

One MA 3000+ course and one MA 4000+ course

MA 1723 Calculus II [3 credits]

Prerequisite: MA 1713

Two MA 4000+ courses

MA 2733 Calculus III [3 credits]

Prerequisite: MA 1723

IE 4613/6613 Engineering Statistics and one MA 4000+ course

*Engineering Statistics counts as one of the MA 3000+ courses mentioned above.

MA 2743 Calculus IV [3 credits]

Prerequisite: MA 2733

IE 4733/6733 Linear Programming and one MA 3000+ course

*Linear Programming counts as one of the MA 4000+ courses mentioned above.

MA 3113 Introduction to Linear Algebra [3 credits]

Prerequisite: MA 1723

IE 4733/6733 Linear Programming and one MA 4000+ course

*Linear Programming counts as one of the MA 4000+ courses mentioned above.

MA 3253 Differential Equations I [3 credits]

Prerequisite: MA 2743
