Abstract: In this talk, we will explore the vital role of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) in shaping healthcare decision-making, emphasizing its importance in evaluating both clinical and economic outcomes. We will then turn to Real-World Data (RWD) and Real-World Evidence (RWE), discussing their differences from traditional clinical data and their growing importance in the pharmaceutical product lifecycle—from drug development to post-market surveillance. Through real-world case studies, we will illustrate the transformative impact of RWD on healthcare innovation. Finally, we will highlight the expanding career opportunities in RWD, offering guidance for individuals interested in pursuing this dynamic and evolving field.
