Title
The Noncommutative Disk
Physical Location
Allen Hall 411
Abstract: We will discuss the basics of noncommutative geometry. In particular we will look at a very special example, the noncommutative disk. We will define what this object is and justify why the name of this object is appropriate. If time permits we will also look at unbounded derivations on the noncommutative disk and how they can be used to create spectral triples, which will be defined in the talk.
