Friday, Jul 1, 2005 The Department sponsored a one-month Algebra Project Summer Program

The Department sponsored a one-month Algebra Project Summer Program for mathematics and language instruction. Thirty-one African-American students from Lanier High School in Jackson, MS stayed on MSU campus. Dr. Robert P. Moses address a group of 120 students, partents, faculty, and campus officials at the banquet on the final night of this program. The summer program was organized by Dr. Michael Neumann and sponsored by the Center for Urban Education and Innovation at Florida International University, the Algebra Project and Mississippi State University.
